ABOUT OUR CAMPS
Our Camps are a combination of fun and functional. We stress the importance of learning the fundamentals of the game without compromising enjoyment. We allow proportionate instructor to athlete ratio (Approximately 1:7) to allow for proper supervision and hands on instruction.
Safety is always the number one priority at Peak Performance Camps, as First Aid equipment is always readily available. As well there is always an instructor on site that is first aid and CPR certified. For convenience, we have bathrooms located in the facility, as well as all of the training equipment that a young athlete might need (Bats, Helmets, Balls, and Gloves which are all appropriately sized). In warmer weather, we will be outside at our regulation sized diamond that is only a minutes walk from the facility. We do encourage hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and other precautionary methods of protection on warmer days.
A typical day would consist of a walk through of a particular skill, drills that can be done at home or in practice that will develop the skill set, and a game that requires the skill but makes the work more fun. Our main goal at PPA camps is to not only develop a skill set and knowledge about the game, but to build confidence in our young athletes and instill a fun-love of the game.
OUR 2021 COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
Under the Ministry of Health, it will be MANDATORY that every player, Instructor and individuals dropping off the player complete the COVID-19 Self Assessment (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/) prior to arriving at PPA Hithouse each day. This screening must be printed and provided to the instructor before entry into PPA Hithouse Camp.
We will have specific cohorts that will have a MAXIMUM of 15 players, as per the current Ministry of Health Day Camp Guidance. Each Camp Cohort will stay together for the full week and not participate in activities with the other cohort. Each cohort will have the same instructors for the week.
The first 15 players registered each week will be in Cohort 1: 9am-3pm Camp and the second 15 players registered for the week will be in Cohort 2: 930-330pm Camp. We will let you know what cohort you are in prior to the first day of camp.
Most of our activities will take place outdoors, however each cohort will have a dedicated indoor space for inclement weather days.
All Players, Instructors and individuals dropping off are required to wear a face mask at all times. Our players will be allowed to remove their masks during physical activity and when appropriate physical distance is possible.
We ask that any individuals picking up or dropping off the players please remain outside the facility at all times.
Please be aware that all timelines and items are subject to change based on the COVID19 situation and the updated information from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.
Please complete the following form and bring it with you when you make payment one week before Registered Camp Start date.
